This Privacy Policy explains how Simple Fasting Timer (the "App"), provided by Sergey Eskin ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. Your fasting sessions, protocols, streaks, and history are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. We cannot see this data and do not upload it to a server operated by us.
The timer and local history work offline. An internet connection may be required for App Store purchases, legal links, and the optional iCloud backup. We do not use third-party advertising, and we do not sell or share personal information.
Pro users can manually back up fasting history to and restore it from their private iCloud Drive. This feature is optional and runs only when you select the backup or restore command. Apple stores the backup in the iCloud account signed in on your device. We do not receive, control, or have access to the backup.
Deleting the App removes its local data but does not automatically delete a backup already stored in iCloud. The iCloud backup remains in your Apple account until it is overwritten or deleted using Apple's iCloud storage controls. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Simple Fasting Timer offers an optional one-time "Pro" purchase. Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store — we never see or receive your payment card details.
The App uses Apple's StoreKit to unlock and restore Pro. Apple may process purchase identifiers, product identifiers, transaction status, and related App Store account information to complete and restore a purchase. We do not receive your fasting history through purchases.
If you allow notifications, the App schedules a local notification to let you know when your fasting goal is reached. These notifications are generated on your device. We do not run a push-notification server and do not collect any data through notifications.
Fasting-related information stays on your device unless you explicitly create an iCloud backup. The App does not read from or write to Apple Health, and we do not access your health information.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can delete individual sessions in the App, and deleting the App from your device removes locally stored data. An optional iCloud backup is retained separately in your Apple account as described above. Purchase records held by Apple are retained according to Apple's policies.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Since we do not hold your personal fasting data, local data can be managed in the App and iCloud data through Apple's controls. For anything relating to purchase records, contact us and we will help direct you to the appropriate provider.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the App or on this page.
